I have seen Cindy as my therapist for over 8 years now, both in-office and virtual. I have spent the vast majority of my life in therapy of some kind, but I've never stayed with one therapist as long as Cindy. She is beyond kind, so insightful, and creates an active space for me to find my own answers so they feel more meaningful and stick. She has been with me through several HUGE life changes, and she has helped me meaningfully heal leaving some incredibly toxic situations. I am queer, nonbinary, and polyamorous (with other identities/life experiences Yelp doesn't need to know), and Cindy never once batted an eye. It can be hard to find genuinely openminded therapists, and she has never made me feel 'less than' for my identities or experiences. When you live life as a queer person (or any marginalized identity), so much of your life gets filtered through that lens. Having a therapist who understands how that fundamentally changes the way you perceive the world is so important. Highly recommend Cynthia Doodeman, especially for queer folks or anyone with marginalized identities!
